vBulletin Modifications
I'm sure some of you will already know me, because of my most enjoyable hobby to administrate vBulletin Boards. I first got in touch with the software by Jelsoft at the D2Network where i got moderator, and later then administrator. Thats where I started to change the code of the software and also got in touch with PHP itself.Because of private differences with the staff during that time I left that site, and founded a site called Civ3D, where i could start to hack up every single line in vB's code. Since that time, i'm a regular member at vBulletin.org.
On 24. July 2002 i got an official staffmember there, doing a job as moderator on the codingspecific forums, and since 10. March 2003 i got promoted to fill in the job as webmaster and administrator, which is a job i enjoy a lot.
Installing my modifications is your own responsibility. I won't give private support here. If you have trouble somewhere take a look at the supportthread on vbulletin.org. The hacks should work with other vBversions (minor versions) as well, the mentioned version is just the version it was written for.

As requested several times, this Hack creates a new Thread whenever a Post has been reported. The first Post contains the content of the reported post, as well as the reason. The report emails are sent out as well, so this is just an addition to the vb function, not a new way of reporting. Enjoy |

Hi, Have you ever noticed that Admins and Super Moderators can edit/delete/peak everyone's messages in your forum? This also applies to Moderators for the board they are assigned. Normally this shouldn't be a problem, but on bigger sites with a lot of Mod's it could lead to problems sometimes, so that's the reason, why i ported over Logicians vb2 hack, changed it to use actual vb3 variables and permission systems. So great Thanks to my Pal Logician, who's intro post has been rewritten by me as well ;) After applying the hack default editing permissions in your board will be changed like this:

This hack creates a new vb-tag disable. Vb-Tags surrounded by won't be parsed, also smilies won't be parsed as well. As requested several times, this hack allows you to arrange forums on forumhome in xx columns instead of just one per row as it is in standart vb3. Look at the screenshot to know what i mean :) The design is changeable in the templates of course :) I've tested it, and it should work, but as i don't use it myself, i cannot do a longtime test, so if you find any bugs, report them :) You can apply the changes to forumdisplay as well if wanted :) |

When a User posts into a thread where he already has the lastpost, no new post will be added. The lastpost of him will be edited and the new text is put after his first message, attachments will be added to the old post as well. This will be done until the old post is older than 1 hour (you can change this timespan yourself:)) by changing $do_bump in the script, you can define wether the post's time will be altered or not.
