vBulletin Modifikationen

Sicherlich kennen die einen oder anderen Surfer mich, durch meine Admintätigkeiten in vBulletin Internetforen. Angefangen habe ich beim D2Network als Moderator und wurde relativ schnell Admin. Eingeschränkt konnte ich dort bereits erste Änderungen an den Codedateien vornehmen.
Aufgrund persönlicher Differenzen mit dem damaligen Staff verlies ich das Forum, und gründete die Seite Civ3D, an der ich endlich alle Veränderungen am Code durchführen durfte die ich wollte. Seit dieser Zeit bin ich auch regelmäsig bei vBulletin.org zu sehen.
Seit dem 24. Juli 2002 bin ich offiziell Mitglied bei vbulletin.org, als Moderator, und seit dem 10. März 2003 bin ich Webmaster und Administrator derselben.

Das installieren der von mir hier angegebenen Codeveränderungen geschieht auf eigene Verantwortung. Falls Problem auftreten sucht bitte auf vBulletin.org nach einer Lösung. Die Hacks sollten auch mit anderen Versionen funzen, die vB Version besagt mit welcher Version sie geschrieben wurden.

3.0.0 [SQL] - vB Code This hack is more or less Selfexplaining as we use it since a long time on vb.org :).
Credits go to Chen Avinadav for the original version for vBulletin 2.

It allows you and your users to use [ SQL] Tags to highlight special SQL Tags and so on.
example:

most of the queries are working perfectly, just nested quotes can make problems, i'll try to fix these, soon :)

3.0.0 Enable Debugmode just for your PC Ok, so i can release at least one vb3 hack already, some more will follow once vb.org is upgraded and i find more time.

This hack is to enable Debugmode just for your PC, ignoring which account you use, so you can even browse with debug mode while you are logged out.

If you have a static IP, this hack is very small, but if you have dynamic IP's like myself it's a bit more complicated as it works with cookies :)

The Hack has been tested a long time on vb3G, i think it will work on RC1 as well, tests will follow :)

2.2.x Delete/Revert multiple templates at once This hack allows you to delete/revert multiple templates at once by adding a checkbox in front of every template and if checked it will be deleted

2.2.x Subforums on Forumhome (no extra queries Version) Well, i think most of you know the hack already but with a great ammount of additional queries.

This hack shows on every forum on forumhome (also on categories if you want it so) all it's Subforums.
It works dynamically so whenever you add a forum, it will be added to the list :)

One disadvantage on having it queryless is, that if you have private subforums below nonprivate mainforums that these will be seen so (not accesable but seen)

2.2.x Optimizing Forumhome Ok, what this Hack does is it reduces the ammount of queries on forumhome by caching the moderatorlist and by optimizing most of the queries used on index.php


I'd really appreciate getting feedback how it reduces serverload on greater boards :)

On an unhacked vb index.php (pm enabled accesmask disabled) it reduces the ammount of queries from 19 to 15
my experiments have shown, that the queries are faster than the normal ones, too.... 		20.12.2002
